INTERNET & INTERACTIVE MEDIA

The Internet and Interactive Media team develops and maintains UNL's Web site as a means of communication with both the university community and general public. Staff members provide assistance with the university's Web site templates, to increase usability and accessibility for online visitors. In addition to general Web development, specialists can provide interactive media production, database development, live or on-demand video and audio, and consulting services.
As part of its universitywide mission to create a single, consistent, strong UNL.edu, the IIM team sponsors the UNL Web Developer Network, an association of more than 300 web developers and publishers maintaining websites at UNL.
Web Sites
We have built and maintain a large variety of websites both within University Communications and for other clients around the University. Our designers create web sites that follow the rules and represent our clients with uniqueness at the same time.
UNL Templates
University Communications Internet and Interactive Media works hand in hand with the Web Developer Network on the ambitious task of implementing templates University wide. These templates enable accessibility standards throughout all UNL web sites.
Web Applications
Web applications are a major focus in today's web 2.0 arena. It is a mission of the the Internet and Interactive Media team to keep up with these standards. Our team works with other individuals across campus to develop the best code for applications fitting the needs of the University web site and its users.
Interactive Media
The IIM team put their heads together to develop advanced interactive media experiences for UNL website users. This includes projects such as; the UNL Virtual Tour, Podcasting, Streaming Video and Audio, Flash Slideshows, and Webcams.
